The Dongba Place is also a famous place for Naxi ancient music, the newly built palace is decorated with typical Naxi religious symbols and ornaments which added much to the solemn cultural atmosphere.
The Dongba palace is located just opposite the Naxi Ancient Music Institute and also has a daily performance which begins at 7:30 and charges RMB25-40. Besides Naxi music, the Dongba palace hosts various cultural activities on a irregular base, these activities include Naxi Dancings and staged religious rites.
