Weifang, a coastal city in Shandong Province opening to the outside world, consists of four districts, six county-level cities and two counties covering an area of 15,860 square kilometers with a population of 8.522 million.
Geographic Location
Located in the middle of Shandong Peninsula, Weifang extends from 118°0' to 102°1' longitudes east and from 35°3' to 37°6' latitudes north with a 113-kilometer-long coastline. Bordered on the east by Qingdao and Yantai and on the west by Zibo and Jinan, Weifang is a hub of communications connecting coastal area and inland area in Shandong province.

Situated in the east monsoon area of the Temperate Zone and having four distinct seasons a year, Weifang enjoys a pleasant climate with an annual average temperature of l2.2℃ , an accumulated temperature of 4783.6℃ , a precipitation of over 700mm and a frost-free period of l85 to 211 days.
